Welcome to Sailing Yacht Stressbreaker

StressbreakerThe sixty-three foot (19m) ketch STRESSBREAKER was originally constructed as a sailing vessel for scientific research in the waters of Patagonia, Tierra Del Fuego and Southern Chile. She had a second career as one of the most successful sail/dive yachts in the Red Sea. In 1996 Stressbreaker was moved to South East Asia and is now well established as a expeditionary charter yacht in this area. Jill and John, her skippers/owners and devoted divers of many years loves to seek little explored area's, hence their obvious choice to operate her in the Mergui Archipelago.

StressbreakerThe "Adventure" tag applies not only to the fun, freedom and excitement of being out on the ocean on your own yacht, but also to the Stressbreaker get-involved approach, where everyone is part of a real "crew" - not just passengers to be ferried about according to some strict itinerary, or the whim of the captain.
There's no obligation to pull on ropes if you don't want to - but if you'd like to learn more about sailing, we'd love to teach you. For already experienced sailors - hey, great! - come take the helm and tweak the sails as much as you like!
"Adventure" also applies to the sort of places we go and the things we do. Each day we visit a different island and try and do something 'Out of the ordinary'. Whether 'having a go' at Scuba Diving, snorkeling among pristine coral reefs, Kayaking through ancient mangroves or exploring uninhabited islands, you can be sure you won't get bored!!!
So - this is no cruise ship - it's a real sailing experience! We won't make your beds or clean up your junk - although we may well serve up the Gin n' tonics as you swing in a hammock! And sail you to some of the most beautiful and unspoiled areas in the world.

Stressbreaker is a happy marriage between a fully equipped dive vessel and an ocean going sailing ketch. You will find such amenities as a spacious, shaded aft deck with dedicated dive benches. There is a large dive platform and two compressors, both below decks, fill the 12 liter (80cft) tanks. A 4.60 m inflatable tender facilitates drift diving. You can expect 2-3 dives during the day plus an additional night dive.

The teak clad saloon is air-conditioned and has a dedicated charging station for strobes and torches. 220 VAC power is available all day, the generator is silenced. Three ton water capacity and a desalinator make water shortage unlikely. The maximum of 8 guests are accommodated in four private cabins: two doubles and two twins. Cabins are light and airy with opening portholes and hatches. Each berth has its own fan and reading light.
Cuisine aboard is a mouth-watering combination of Thai and European dishes. Fresh fruit, coffee, tea, snacks and cold drinking water are there for you 24 hrs/day and included in the price. Canned drinks, beer and imported wines are available on board.
Many guests are "old faithfuls" who come back year after year, come and join the club!
