Sailing Adventure Cruises in Phuket , Thailand , Myanmar & Malaysia
All the clichés, well known from the holiday brochures, apply: pearly white beaches fringed by coconut palm trees, tropical islands covered in primary forest, clear waters which are outstanding for diving and snorkeling.
Many visitors restrict their holiday to the main island Phuket and miss the unforgettable experience to discover hundreds of unspoiled idyllic anchorages around Phuket in the Andaman Sea . Sailing Phuket - here no daily battles for a place in an overcrowded bay, at most places yours will be the only yacht in sight.
Sailing yacht charter in Phuket, Thailand
"Mozart" is a very, very special yacht. She was custom designed for Wolfgang by the renowned Australian Naval Architect Tim Mumby and built according to Australian Survey rules.
The design brief was for a large good looking comfortable charter catamaran optimal for the sailing grounds around Phuket,
built in aluminum for lightweight and strength,
four spacious double guest cabins with en-suite showers and toilets, separate cr ew quarters,
a large, well shaded cockpit,
and plenty of uncluttered space on deck.
Oh yes, and by the way, she had to be FAST, really fast, 10 kts cruising speed and 15kts+ peak speed under sail would be nice.
Her lines are breathtakingly beautiful, her motion soft and sea- kindly and what about her speed?
Well, on the delivery trip from Brisbane to Phuket effortless 250 mile day runs were the norm and the best run was only just under 325 miles!
This exciting 48 ft yacht is now available for charter in Thailand and Burma
Thailand sailing grounds reward you with breathtaking scenery and a benign climate for year- round relaxed sailing.
Things to do
Mozart carries "sit on top" kayaks, which are essential for exploring the many sea caves, creeks and mangrove channels around Phuket / Thailand , fishing equipment, snorkeling gear and on request scuba diving can be arranged for.
You are of course, if you want, welcome to take the helm and experience the exhilarating thrill of steering a large sailing cat at speed.
Your accommodation
Up to eight guests have a choice of four double cabins, two with their own shower/toilet and two with shared shower/toilet. There is an additional fresh water shower on deck. Mozart has a large capacity water maker, so fresh water usage is no issue. Cabins are well ventilated with opening hatches and in addition there are electric fans.
There is a hifi CD player with a large selection of music (yes, lots of Mozart CD's), satellite radio receiver, and cell phone on board.
Your host
Austrian yachtsman Wolfgang himself was named after the great composer, he called his first yacht Amadeus so his second, his new ultimate dream catamaran, could really only have one name: Mozart.
Having sailed, dived and very successfully chartered in Thailand and Burma for some eight years he knows the area like the back of his hand and he will be able to show you, besides the well known famous places, some "secret" spots, unspoiled, usually inaccessible for "normal" mono hulled yachts and stunningly beautiful.
Mozart's' speed means you can cover a lot of ground within a short time. This way cruising grounds further away come within your reach, even during shorter charters.
..simply relax
You can of course sleep on deck under the stars if you wish; the 30 sqm of bow netting is probably the largest bed you've ever slept in!
Wolfgang and his crew are dedicated to giving you a holiday of a lifetime. In a previous life Wolfgang was a qualified chef, something that certainly is reflected in the quality of the meals served on board!
For the more simple pleasures in life, lay down in the netting, sip your gin- tonic, watch the sun go down and enjoy the soft tones of
"Eine Kleine Nachtmusik"!
